Salary
Selected candidates will undergo training for a period of two years at any of the NTPC project’s EDC/ RLI during which they will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs. 21,500/- per month. On successful completion of training these candidates will be absorbed in the payscale of W3 Grade.
Selection Process
- Eligible candidates will have to undergo single stage, 2 part online test consisting of:
- Part I – Knowledge test which will consist of 70 multiple choice questions on technical subject from relevant discipline as advertised.
- Part II- Aptitude test which will consist of 50 multiple choice questions comprising English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning.
- The duration of written test will be 2 hours. There will negative marking for wrong answers. (Each question carries one (1) marks. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer).
- The candidates are required to qualify both in Technical Knowledge Test and Aptitude Test. For General/EWS category candidates, the qualifying marks for Technical Knowledge Test and Aptitude Test are 40% and 30% respectively. There is a relaxation of 25% in qualifying marks of written test in both Technical Knowledge Test and Aptitude Test for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
- Skill Test: For selection to the Artisan Trainee there will be a skill test of those candidates who have qualified in written test. The skill test will be of qualifying nature only. Assessment will not be done on the basis of marks of skill test. The qualifying marks for skill test is 40% marks in case of General/EWS category and 30% in case of (SC/ST/OBC/ PWBD).
- The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks of the written test, for those candidates who will qualify in the skill test.

Note- Candidature to be drawn from permanent residents of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) comprising – Kokrajhar, Baksa, Chirang, Udalguri districts of Assam. The candidature to the aforesaid vacancies shall be drawn only from permanent residents of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) who shall have to produce valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) in original during the selection process.
